2010-11 SEASON

MAHLER: ASPECTS

In this double anniversary season, NYSAE is pleased to present an exploration of the various roles and influences of Gustav Mahler (1860-1911). Best known during his own lifetime as one of the leading orchestral and operatic conductors of the day, he has since come to be acknowledged as among the most important post-Romantic composers, one whose particular world view uniquely reflects our modern times.
